The asexual flag was created in 2010 by "standup," a member of the Asexual Visibility and Education Network (AVEN). This flag features four horizontal stripes of equal size, with each stripe's color representing the following:
black ~ asexuality
gray ~ gray-asexuality and demisexuality
white ~ sexuality and allosexuality (or, sometimes, allies)
purple ~ the asexual community as a whole
